THE Cause of Christ is at the heart of Lead THE Cause. Jesus said I have come to seek and save the lost. And His last command to his disciples was to “go….and make disciples”
We believe that this commandment still stands and that Jesus wants His followers to be about the same things as He was. This Cause of Jesus is the ultimate Cause and is the only one worth truly giving your life for. Teens are dying for a Cause to follow, and carrying the gospel to a needy world is about as big of a cause as you can get.
Lead THE Cause at its Core:
Inspiration (Soul Fuel)
With engaging sessions, dynamic speakers, and hands-on training, students will understand how they can personally take part in being a disciple of Christ. They will gain a renewed passion for their faith, their love for Jesus, and their desire to reach the lost.
Worship is also a key component of the week and the mornings and evenings incorporate time for quieting themselves and worshipping their God.
Preparation (equipping them with the gospel message)
Along with being able to communicate the gospel simply and fully, your teens will gain real skills for engaging others in spiritual conversations and leading others into a relationship with Jesus.
Daily Core Training breakout sessions include in-depth time on the GOSPEL acrostic, how to start and engage someone in a conversation (Ask/Admire/Admit), and how to wrap up a gospel conversation. For returning students, there are deeper level tracks to continue to develop their skills and to draw out their leadership potential as they explore what it means to be and make disciples.
Additionally, you and your students will spend time developing a customized strategic plan to begin to impact your own community with the Good News of Jesus when you get home.
Application (putting feet to their faith)
Move training from theory to practice! This week will provide your group with faith-stretching, evangelism experiences that will prepare your teens to engage their communities back home.
Two afternoons are set aside for your group to go into the city and participate in faith-stretching evangelism opportunities that put what they’ve learned into practice. Each of our locations are in or near a large metropolitan area which will allows them to engage people from all walks of life.
There is also time set aside for students to connect with their friends engage in a gospel conversation during the week. This builds a bridge back to their real lives and gives them something to follow up with as soon as they get back home.
Continuation (reaching their world)
A key component of LTC is the time spent developing customized strategic plans (both students and youth leaders) that will take this passion and skill and bring it back to the churches and schools and neighborhoods. It’s all about impacting your own communities with the good news of Jesus.
