For Christians – especially Youth Ministries – the urgency of losing young people is bigger than ever! Recently, Pinetops Foundation released a report titled “The Great Opportunity.” In their research, they estimate that over 40 million young people who were raised Christian, will walk AWAY from their faith. That is more young people than the entire population of Iraq and half the population of Germany. This isn’t even counting the young people who haven’t heard the Good News of Jesus Christ yet. What can we do as youth leaders and youth ministries to help combat the problem? How are we going to make sure the souls of our young people aren’t lost over the next 30 years?
